I just recently found out that a Salesian Brother was asked by the Vatican to build the Pope's Chair for his visit to the United States.
Brother Sal is a well known Master Carpenter and the man asked to build the special chair.
The shop is a simple garage.
And his crew is three local skilled laborers.
The chair is almost finished and we had a great time visiting with Brother Sal and his workers, as well as sitting on the soon-to-be Pope's Mass Chair.
We joined in with the daily prayers the workers pray making their work a prayerful task.
What an honor it was to meet these humble men and to see them create such a special piece of furniture that will be used by a successor of Peter.
